Latest news!

Brainstemprojects is no more, so I've had to move elitedealseeker to dreamhost.

Fixed a bug where duplicate ads were showing up.

- applied for account at OSWF (they put log-in requirement)
- fixed orientalwatchsite
- fixed timetechtalk (is now using "ultrabb"...sigh)

- fixed pmwf (new link syntax)
- can't fix tz-uk (needs login, and when I try to register, I get "Creating a new account is currently not possible.")- fixed xdtalk (they split their sales forum into subforums - different urls, etc. :()

currently I am working on some algorithm to read a webpage and intelligently guess at what the ads are, WITHOUT relying specifically on the code produced by individual boards (vbulletin, ipboard, etc.). It works pretty good so far, but network54 and a couple others are still a challenge...if I can get it to work, then sites should break much less often, if at all

thank you for your continuing to visit this site :)

  4. great work! Thanks!

But can we set the preference like in the past? Cos some of the sites that we are less interested in show many sales which one needs to scroll down quite "alot" to get to those sites one is looking for.

can we set our own preferences like in the past?

    thanks.

  6. Atom, could you please remove the link for the SCWF:

    http://www.network54.com/Forum/170229 (seiko/citizen)

We have moved the site to a new host and would like to have our trade forum re-listed from our new site. You can see the Seiko & Citizen watch Forum's new Trading forum here:

  15. hey, I'm really sorry, but I don't want to add state-specific forums because then it's only fair that I do it for everyone's state (possibly doing it 50 times)

the only exception to this is Florida, where I can get the deals :)

    ReplyDelete
  16. If you don't want state-specific forums, then remove California, Michigan and Florida. Michigan and Florida are not that active and California too restrictive. (I respond to a CA WTB and it's "Oh, you're not in CA, I can't buy from you.)

  17. Any way to add a NOT operator to the search engine?

Here's why: I'm searching for a "versionII" product, and the results return "versionII" and "versionIII". I'd like to filter out the "versionIII" results because it's a model I do not want.

    Thanks for letting me ask!

  18. Interesting idea, I like it. Yes, I will add it eventually.

  19. By the way, I just discovered the site today, and have been checking it out (I'm looking for a plinking gun to target shoot) and it's really quite cool. The results are very good, it's fast, and there are sites I had not known about.

    Thank you!
(from the guy who asked about the NOT operator)

  29. First of all, THANK you for a fantastic tool, and keep up the good job - it is greatly appreciated!

Having said that, I noticed others already pointed out that Watchuseek is no longer working. Can you be so kind as to check it out?
